Carnet ticket - notice of intent to prosecute

The only carnet tickets I've ever seen are the late 90s London bus tickets which you tore off and gave to the driver.
Without any clear info, it might be fair to assume that these are similar - ie hand it in at the end of your journey where the person you hand it to dates it, possibly for admin reasons.
