Hello
I wanted to ask if anybody knows whether it is possible to use carnet tickets in conjunction with Annual Gold Card or Network Rail Card discount.
Currently I travel to Kelvedon from Shenfield once/twice a week and had read somewhere that carnet tickets would be a good way for me to purchase a batch of tickets in advance for a slightly lower price which I can use on whichever days I choose to travel. I travel at an off peak time to get a cheaper ticket but would like to try and get the cost down as much as possible.
I have read that carnet tickets are not available on every route and that it is the train company provider(Greater Anglia) that sells them. I currently book tickets through RedSpottedHanky.
Does anybody know whether it is possible to use RedSpottedHanky to get carnet tickets? The website does not mention them and the Greater Anglia website only mentions them on one page where you have to call up to get them.
