Central Scotland Rover

Hello all,

Looking for some expert advice. Looking at getting a Central Scotland Rover next month and looking for some clarity.

The (unofficial) GB Rail Rover Guide suggests that the rover is available anytime until 27th September (assume in line with peak restrictions), yet the Scotrail Website says after 0916 weekdays and the NRE website says after 0915.

is there anything officially that anybody knows that the rover can be used before 0915/0916?

ScotRail have said all Rovers can be used all day. The page for the Central Scotland one has this at the top:

For the duration of the ‘Off-Peak fares all day long’ trial, which runs between 2 October 2023 and 27 September 2024, the rail element of the Central Scotland Rover travel pass is valid for travel all day, any day.

The exception is if they are railcard discounted, then they are not valid if the railcard has a time restriction until after the set time.

I'll likely only need to use it before 0915 on one day but good to know it is documented

Just to add, in addition to being available at any time until 27th Sept 2024 (subject to railcard restrictions), it is now also valid on the new line to Leven.
