You can do Wolverhampton-Birmingham International for £11.40 on both Avanti and XC, but the Avanti service is 41 minutes, so I think you get your money's worth on that. It's £12.40 for Avanti only (or £12.60 via Birmingham) for the extra 10 mins to Coventry.

At Kings Cross there's still a sign (or there was a couple of weeks ago) saying the lounge is available for two hours before (1 on Fridays) or 1 hour after travel.

LNER 1st class lounge access at KGX is an excellent opportunity to pull out the routeing guide to remind LNER staff of the vast swathes of valid routes on LNER services to Stevenage and beyond...
