Ok, I need to do the following. I hold;

Priv
16-25 Railcard
Gold Card (Zone 1 - 2 Travelcard)

Today (the time is now 13:49)
Loughborough - St Pancras
St Pancras - Euston
Euston - Sydenham
Sydenham - Waddon Marsh
Waddon Marsh - Laindon

Saturday
Laindon - Euston

Monday

St Pancras - Loughborough, leaving St Pancras at 08:25. (Ticket already held for this leg but still worth mentioning.)

Who can come up with the cheapest set of tickets :p. So far I'm expecting to pay £27.65.

Are you willing to go the slower route via Nuneaton or preferably direct via the MML?

Are you willing to use Oyster (which involves a slow train from Bedford and having to touch in at Elstree & Borehamwood)?

What are the tickets you have found so far for the price quoted?

Outbound, doesn't matter. Return must be on the 0825 ex St Pancras as mentioned.

The price I quoted above restricts me to the MML and any fast train, as I've used the cheapest possible splits (AFAIK). Otherwise, Anytime Day Return Bounday Zone 2 - Croydon Stations, single from BZ2 to Laindon and single from Laindon to Limehouse.

I shall be doing the same trip again this weekend, exactly the same circumstances. Any advice on getting it down lower than £27.65 please?
