Just bumping this back up to remind you it is on now! We had a very successful first day running 16 round trips - the most we think since the 1920's. It was great to welcome passengers who had travelled by rail from various parts of the country including Nuneaton, Stroud and plenty from London. More trains from 0735 tomorrow (Friday) morning when we will be running another 16 return trips with the 'Bubblecar'. Just £2 per person.

May give this a go as I was to be in the Reading area anyway. Last time I was in Wallingford the maltings silo was still standing.

One day left of this event. Have to say it's good value at two pounds and crosses off another heritage line that I just hadn't got round to visiting. There's a few things to look at in Wallingford station and the town centre is a reasonable walk from the station.

I popped along today having only found out about it because of this thread. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The train was full in both directions. They seem to have a good little operation going there.
