Following the appearance of a large hole last Wednesday evening (very Railway Children orienated, as it was first reported of a tree had fallen towards the track) that started off as 9 metres x 5 metres, and got bigger as the night went on, thus closing the line from that date, all has been repaired with staff working 24/7 to fix it , all now repaired and a normal service planned from first thing Monday (19th) there will be an ESR of 20mph on the Down Line for a while though.

And doubtless a late notice possession to fix it permanently. Though I do notice the line is closed for a couple of Sundays in April so perheps NR will do some more stabilisation then.

Good work by all, it was a rather large hole. Obviously the Clacton branch is of little interest to members on here, but is rather important to the operation of the GEML overall.

Especially the carriage sidings down there at Clacton. A lot of units live there.
