Page 82 of March 2023 Modern Railways says West Midlands Trains cannot resume services on this line yet as they have no trains short enough for the platforms now class 230's are unavailable, and that class 150's are what is needed. Does anyone have redundant class 150's, or ones coming off lease shortly?

If West Midlands Trains can't get some arrangement with GWR (who brought some Vivarail assets) to support 230s, there are supportable 769s available, but higher lease costs than 150s.

Ex TFW, not off lease until at least May.

769s aren't an option as the Marston Vale is 40m max train length. If longer trains were able to run the Marston Vale WMT would have moved some of their own 172s or 196s to the Marston Vale already.
Only stock able to run the Marston Vale other than the 230s are 150s and 153s, the latter would be more difficult than 150s as the stored examples would all require PRM mods.
