Hi all!

Before I start, let me say two things: -

1) - This post is not trying to say that the horns included in the current versions of the two 158s we have for BVE4 aren't any good.

2) - There seems to be three main catergories for 158 horns;

- Can't be bothered/clapped out. This seems to be the most common among the various fleets, and is included with the newest version of the 158 for BVE4 (Oovee?). :)

- Half-heartedly shrill. This is included with the TrainSimCentral version of the BVE4 158. :)

- Full-on, in your face (deafening on the outside) shrill. This type of 158 horn used to dominate the TPE fleets, and has not yet been released by anyone for BVE.
;)

Now, I've produced some alternate 158 horns of the high-pitched/shrill variety with some recordings I made. I've been using them on BVE4 over the last couple of days to test them out and I have to say, they sound excellent (if I do say so myself!) :lol:

Now, if anyone would like copies of these to try them out or whatever, please feel free to get in touch. You won't be disappointed! :p ;)

I am also quite prepared to let someone else host these sounds in a zip file on their BVE Website if required, providing I'm credited and they are not to be re-used without my permission etc etc. ;)

I'll leave you with this..........
