Do the 175s still have their North West destinations/stations programmed in the system and similarly could the traincrew still set the auto announcer listing the stops for the Manchester-Blackpool route for example?
Also I recall TPE stopped using the auto announcer/display while they still had them, seem to remember it was because of a stopping pattern change which wasn't programmed in. Is it not possible for the driver to just select the next station on the train computer and push a button to set the system going to announce that particular station? What happens for example on West Coast services which don't follow the normal stopping pattern - is the PA system just not used for these?
