Ta !

According to Real Times Trains 319369 did indeed do the double flyer am+pm diagram as posted upthread.
Appropriate term that: I did the 2V04 / 2V06 turn back in September and found them about to be the only impression of speed and thrash trips I ever did in north west with 319s - and I'm basing that on past Luton 319s commuting from beginning (their first ever week on BedPan) to end (their last weekend on Thameslink) and +400,000 travel miles and +600,000 unit miles on them in 36 years.

The Chat Moss route generally was quite good for 319 thrash, especially with a keen driver making up lost time. And the bank north of Wigan NW was occasionally interesting too.

My previous travels over Chat Moss on hourly Liverpool < > Manchester was never as sparkling as those two runs in September. Limited experience I mean, I am talking trips barely reaching a double digit count, compared to thousands on Thameslink.

Have been the odd 323 for some time, particularly first of the day from LLSt - only Liverpool crews know them, Wigan not yet trained.
In the current timetable, this 323 diagram includes some Wigan workings:
AllrtnDep 05+24 5F68
Lime St 05+38 05.46 2F68
Wigan NW 06.32 06.52 2C03
Lime St 07.43 08.02 2A12
Mancr Air 09.25 09.32 2F29
Lime St 10.52 11.45 2F52
Wigan NW 12.32 12.53 2C15
Lime St 13.43 14.00 2A18
Mancr Air 15.25 15.32 2F23
Lime St 16.53 17.13 2F54
Wigan NW 18.00 18.21 2C26
Lime St 19.09 19.44 2F66
Wigan NW 20.32 20.52 2C31
Lime St 21.40 22.01 2A26

It's funny you should mention that diagram...

Tuesday 2nd January @ 04:30:

319368

AllrtnDep 05+24 5F68
Lime St 05+38 05.46 2F68
Wigan NW 06.32 06.52 2C03
Lime St 07.43 08.02 2A12
Mancr Air 09.25 09.32 2F29
Lime St 10.52 11.45 2F52
Wigan NW 12.32 12.53 2C15
Lime St 13.43 14.00 2A18
Mancr Air 15.25 15.32 2F23
Lime St 16.53 17.13 2F54
Wigan NW 18.00 18.21 2C26
Lime St 19.09 19.44 2F66
Wigan NW 20.32 20.52 2C31
Lime St 21.40 22+11 5Y31

There's no way this unit will finish on Ardwick TMD, as Siemens depot staff don't sign them. Expect some updates during the day...

Update @ 09:45: now swapped to finish at AN.

I suspect that this substitution might be due to the non-availability of traincrew with the required combination of route knowledge and 323 traction knowledge today.

The marginal cost of operating a "scrap" 319 must be pretty low, until it becomes due a major exam.

Shouldn’t be an issue that whole diagram is booked to have Lime St crew throughout. I suspect the issue is Allerton ended up -2 323’s last night.

As far as I'm aware there's 9
319361, 319368, 319369, 319370, 319372, 319379, 319381, 319385, 319386.

There are seven left:

319361, 319368, 319369, 319370, 319372, 319379, 319381, 319385, 319386.

I don't think they're all in operational condition though, for example I'm told 372 has had the seats recovered.

I thought it had been reported that 361 and 370 had gone just before Christmas, perhaps someone could confirm this please?
yep, must've missed that, quote below
Confirmed and observed 37800 with 319370 behind locomotive and 319361 on the rear running
12 early through Cradley Heath. Unless rectified please ignore old live rail record website. 37116 is not in this move.
However as we enter 2024, is there only 7 units to move now???.

Thanks for confirming, I presume throughout this month the remaining 319's will be going for scrap?
If I can get over to the North West and there's one running, I'll see if I can ride one.

Might not all go this month as they'll probably alternate with Merseyrail stock and the LNWR ones.

Confirmed 319368 just left Huyton then on the delayed 12:00 Wigan North Western local service. Glad I was able to see one in the flesh after so long lol.

There's nothing in RTT for the 4th yet - I have just searched Newport (SIMS) all day.

I'd suggest you search again tomorrow. Such a move for Thursday only needs to have been requested to Network Rail this morning to get an STP path.

Might be a non runner today - inbound loco move cancelled
Is there already a 37 in Allerton?
