Class 411 3CEP with no front cab gangway??

Growing up in the 90s in South East London, I was very familiar with the slam door stock. However I've just been watching someones video on Youtube of trains running through Brixton in 1995 and there's what looks like a 3 carriage class 411 with no front gangway on the cab, replaced with a window and no route indicator rollblind either and revised front headlights. Can anyone tell me if first of all this is a class 411, and if it is what unit or classifaction it is and why it had the gangway removed, and if it was just a one off?

Not fare-paying ones, no. It would have been full of 'passengers' route learning, etc.
