Class 43s - end of service date on GWR?

Hi all

I was in Penzance the weekend before last and a friend and I wanted to take a quick ride to Truro and back on a Class 43-hauled 'Castle' train, just so we could have 1 last ride before they get taken out of service which I am told is 'early next year' (but it's already been postponed once or twice eg www.modernrailways.com/article/gwr-castle-hsts-go-december-2023).

But, with Storm Darragh wreaking its worst, everything in and out of Pz was cancelled for the Sat and Sun and I had to be back in London the following Monday AM. Not due back in Pz till Jan at the very earliest.

Does anyone know when next year the 43s will be withdrawn on this bit of the GWR, please?

Just been looking and surprised to see that some of the 43s are still stored after quite a few years and are some going for scrapping this year?
