Does Bournemouth depot just have a never ending amount of space? The fact there’s about 6 ten car units just there doing nothing must be getting quite tedious because of the space they’re using.

Only 5 remaining to be retractioned now. What unit is going up this time as 2409/2410/2417 and 2423 are all at Bournemouth depot

If there is one thing that Transport Tycoon taught me, it's that depots are small and have infinite capacity!

5H70 is moving again. Reason was some 720 units in the way at the works, now moved. Unclear if 5Q86 still running as yet.

Looks like they've made it to Wolverton. Wonder if they'll leave the barriers there and call it a day, or carry onto BM as planned, albeit some 2-3 hours late?

219 mins late departing. Anyone know if both the locos are at the front, or is it TNT? If it gets a clear run, it could be only 2 1/2 hour late at BM..

Sorry if I have missed this, tried to search without coming across it.
Why have the MLC vehicles been scrapped from some units, what can the rest of the unit be used for? Are there plans for these 4 WES.

I think they have scrapped the MLC vehicles from disused sets as they are apparently of the highest scrap value.

I suspect the spare vehicles could be used for certain spare parts, or if a coach is written off in a collision, then they can just swap one in from another set perhaps?

Thanks For the reply.

Does seem that they will be storing a lot of spare vehicles.

Just to let you know, 442419 is back in Bournemouth Depot, spotted it as I was walking up Nelson Road.

Couldn't see 2419 this morning, but it might've been behind another set near where a Cl.455 was stabled alongside the north side of the depot.

Visible in sidings on the north side of depot: 2403, 2404, 2408, 2415, 2422
Visible at the south side of depot: 2413

In siding near carriage washing machine: 2410

Cl.73 73235 was also by the north side of the depot.

One advantage of BM is that it has a lot of lengthy stabling roads to accommodate the Cl.442s

I wonder whether (in addition to initial testing) they've got to carry out ffr on some/all of the fleet? New traction system and a new braking system, I would have thought so?

I believe that is why there are ongoing SPZ tests on the line between Wareham and Weymouth

Oh OK, I assumed the SPZ job was just initial proving runs with one unit in order for them to be passed for testing on the live network.
