Class 745 Stadler FLIRTs

I am puzzled. 106 was in service on Saturday 11/04/2020 but three days later it was on test. Had it been naughty on Saturday or had someone forgotten to test it ?.

Could be a software update.

Going by RTT, this is now headed for Ely as 5Q82 the 1123 LST-ELY, which then return as 5Q87 1439 ELY to LST (arr 1654), becoming 5Q88 1751 LST-Norwich

Macquarie rail, who own the 379s, fleet was recently sold to Akiem, another leasing company. Maybe the leasing prices will now be cheaper for the 379s? The 720s aren't in service yet so the 379s may be staying for some time as I would imagine they would be last to go.

I'd be amazed if any 379s leave before all PRM-TSI compliant stock has been removed. Considering as well that the 360s will be amongst the first to go (seeing as they've got their next lease lined up and ready to go with a whole bunch of PRM compliance issues if it doesn't go through) and large swathes of the Mk3 fleets aren't PRM...

Yep, I'm assuming the 317s and non renatus 321s aren't PRM so they would go after the 360s.

Are you sure of unit number? That one was one of the first in service. Was it a driver training run rather than a test.

Yes as stated there is no increase in frequency so more than enough Stadler units to cover. Only 5 required for an hourly service and 745/1s are being used too as little need for 1st class and catering is suspended.
