I recall seeing a demolition train at Potter Heigham on the M&GN somewhere about 1960 and feeling very sad about it. I wrote a poem about it which my mother pushed me into submitting for a school competition. Unfortunately it won a prize so I had to read it out in front of the whole school.

It then follows the line of the Denbigh, Ruthin and Corwen Railway
It then follows the line of the GWR Ruabon to Barmouth Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Arthog
