I am chary of including that private station as it is not shown in two of the resprected railway REFERENCE books....

1)...Railway passenger stations in Great Britain (QUICK)

2)...Private and untimetabled railway stations (CROUGHTON/KIDNER/YOUNG)

Pleased to report the computer engineer who lives very local to me managed to retrieve the vanished text and has replaced "something" in the HP Pavilion tower system and I have now completed the journey preamble

This is number 1874 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Leek
It follows the line of the NSR Leek to Stoke-on-Trent Line
It then follows the line of the NSR/LNWR Stoke-on-Trent to Stafford Line...via Whieldon Road Halt...note that Rule 17 applies to two stations on this line
It then follows the line of the LNWR Stafford to Shrewsbury Line...via Haughton
It then follows the line of the Shrewsbury and Birmingham Railway...via New Hadley Halt
It then follows the line of the Wolverhampton and Walsall Railway...via Heath Town
It then follows the line of the Wolverhampton, Walsall and Midland Junction Railway...via Aldridge
It then follows the line of the MR Birmingham to Syston Line...via Water Orton (1st station)
It then follows the line of the Syston and Peterborough Railway...via Rearsby
It then follows the line of the MR Kettering to Northampton Line...via Grimston
It then follows the line of the GN&LNW Joint Railway...via Bingham Road
It then follows the line of the LNWR Rugby to Peterborough East Line...via Wakerley and Barrowden
It then follows the line of the Northampton and Peterborough Railway...via Elton
It then follows the line of the Rushden, Higham and Wellingborough Railway...via Rushden
The journey ends at the closed station of Higham Ferrers

The first closed station on this journey is Leek
