Well done..the end of the journey has been reached. With regard the final leg, there was a station just south of Aberdeen Waterloo called Guild Street that was opened by the Aberdeen Railway.

After such a very long journey as the one just completed, we now return to England, where a very short journey in comparison awaits us.

This quiz is number 52 so far...and as per the rules, I notify all contestants that this journey has a Closed station at the start of the journey and a Closed station at the end of the journey.

The journey starts at the closed station of Wigan Central
It follows the line of the Wigan Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Cheshire Lines Committee
It then follows the line of the Stockport, Timperley and Altrincham Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Hope Valley line
It then follows the line of the Hayfield Branch Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Hayfield.

The first closed station on this journey is Wigan Central
