We next move to Scotland for the next journey.....

This is number 1869 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of North Leith
It follows the line of the Edinburgh, Leith and Newhaven Railway...via Meadowbank Stadium in the later stages of this line
It then follows the line of the Edinburgh Suburban and Southside Junction Railway...via Piershill
It then follows the line of the Caledonian Railway Main Line...via Slateford (1st station)...via Balerno loop line...note 1st and 2nd stations
It then follows the line of the Solway Junction Railway...via Annan Shawhill
It then follows the line of the Maryport and Carlisle Railway...via Brayton
It then follows the line of the MCR Dearham to Papcastle Branch Line...via Dearham
It then follows the line of the Cockermouth and Workington Railway...via Brigham
It then follows the line of the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway...via Cockermouth
It then follows the line of the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway...via Clifton and Lowther
It then follows the line of the South Durham and Lancashire Union Railway...via Gaisgill
It then follows the line of the NER Bishop Auckland to Durham Line...via Hunwick
The journey ends at the closed station of Brandon Colliery

The first closed station on this journey is North Leith

In that case matters should continue from Hailes Halt....but I cannot post that station as I posted the one prior to it.

The Balerno loop line was made mention of in the guide notes of the journey preamble.

To tidy up the thread, could the two incorrect postings be struck-through.
