As a newbie thought I might start a thread on clothing! In the right forum now as I do not want to annoy the moderators any more.

I think there should be more railway themed clothing out there, Jackets, T shirts etc. I think railway enthusiasts are under represented when it comes to clothing. If you like football then your laughing! But what if you like the Sir Nigel Gresley instead of Chelsea?

Anyway to start things off try these ebay finds, I have the GWR one and its not bad for price!

Might get one of these to! Rare in my opinion!

Firstgroup uniform. One careless owner. Coffee stains on most cuffs. Hole in tie where a certain other user off here hole-punched the tie in the messroom.

Any offers? ;)

(jokin!)

Location
Somewhere, not in London
Many WHS Uniforms available coffee stains and cigarette burns included free of charge...
One MoD issue 95 pattern uniform, gunshot wound hole included free of charge...
One nursing tunic...

Oh we're not doing that... hehe

I'd expect a lot of NXEA uniforms to be coming onto eBay soon, kind of like when XL went bankrupt...

You can sometimes get items of EX BR and other TOCs clothes at some of the preserved railways or rail centres where I have often seen BR uniform shirts and jackets. I purchased a BR Wool Slipover (Short Sleeved jumper) at the end station on the Llangollen Railway. I also bought a longsleeved BR Wool Pullover at the Yeovil Rail Centre, both were about a fiver. They are surprisingly warm and both navy blue with white & red trim on the waist, neck and sleeve/cuffs and the BR Emblem on the chest. (I recall that before these pullovers came out probably in the late 70s/early 80s, BR Staff used to have a heavier navy blue plain jersey also with the BR Emblem on the chest.)(Don't know if there are any of those around now though.)

Have you been able to get any more rail related items of clothing yet?
