Dear friends,

I am from Germany and look for the correct translation of "Zugschluss" and "Zugschlusssignal".

"Zugschluss" describes the end of a train, the "Zugschlusssignal" in Germany are two red lights indicating the "Zugschluss".

Anybody here knowing the correct English terms?

Kind regards
jaapstam

Between the parallel lines
“Tail lamps” for the lights themselves. “Tail lights” if you’re being modern, although many people call them the former.

“Complete train” for the whole train from headlights to tail lamps.

In essence, the “front” and “rear” of the train are also terms used quite heavily.
