Could Greater Anglia introduce promotional fares like the old "Merrymaker" scheme?

Why when it just used to cart fresh air on the Norwich stretch? Better to have a good and reliable connecting service
no need for it to cart fresh air if the price and marketing are right.

they ought to consider something like the old "merrymaker" scheme.
it used to work like advance tickets, and for a family it would be a godsend to shut the kids up!

a day return trip to the seaside(bookd 6wk-3mths in advance) for £10 return or £25 for the family is cheap enough to get people interested.
ok the train might depart at 6am, but it's the sort of price you need to entice people.the local businesses will love the additional commerce from extra food/sweets and fairground rides too!

With all the options on offer for family entertainment who is going to Chuck a load of money down, committing to a long day out, weeks before having any idea what the weather will be like?
