"My ticket price was £32.77, you are sending me £30.40. I am short-changed £2.37." This was my query and was told:

You are entitled to claim compensation for a delay up to but not exceeding the value of your ticket. Your total ticket combined ticket cost for the journey is £30.40, any booking fee or charges applied by the ticket retailer are non-compensable under our delay repay scheme.

I have been paid, in full, before with Cross Country, Avanti West Coast, and Transport for Wales. I cannot find any mention of deductions, nor explicit remarks regarding only 'value of tickets' on any train company website.

Has policy changed, was I paid in error previously?

(I always buy with Train Split. Just found that you sell tickets via them. Changing my links to you, so you get a bit, too. : -)

Be happy for ever,
Steve

Delay repay is calculated on the price printed on the tickets. Any fees aren't included in that price. You can, of course, always purchase tickets without a fee. The TOC, in this instance, is correct and if previously you've included fees in the pay out, then you've been over paid.

Essentially you were paid in error previously, Delay Repay doesn't include booking fees or any ancillaries - only the fare.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll try and leave some keywords for search engines, as I failed to find my own answers to this simple question.

Delay repay deductions for split ticket fees. No additional fees are payable with delay repay. Train companies will not pay split ticket commissions within their delay repay payments.
