Given Open Floor was declared by the previous winner, here's another cryptic conundrum....

At her best friend's wedding, Glen's sister drank only shandy.

Hint 1: The competition rules do not restrict choice just to National Rail stations.

Not that one
(it's a station).

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

After 2 weeks, it seems I made this one a bit too cryptic, so here's the solution & we can move along.....

The Cryptic Conundrum was:-

At her best friend's wedding, Glen's sister drank only shandy.
with an additional hint that this might not be a National Rail station.

"At her best friend's wedding" - so probably she's a BridesMaid.
"Glen's sister" - a close relative of a glen is a valley or Vale.
"Shandy" is Made of Ale.

Answer = Maida Vale on the London Underground.

Open Floor for the next questioner.

Groan. Perhaps this one won't be too bad: I can't think of a better one.

Isaac's wife might be found here?

If you would permit me another try:-

I'm assuming the "Isaac" to whom you refer is the Jewish Patriarch. Abraham's servant who was charged with finding a suitable wife for Isaac, met Rebekah at a well, where she offered to draw water not only for him but for his animals also. The servant saw that as sign she was the right woman for Isaac.

As the well was frequented by the local shepherds, I'll offer:-

Shepherds Well

Shepherds Well is also wrong I'm afraid. A bit of a clue if it helps, though I hope it won't! <D

The station is in England, not Scotland or Wales. It is nothing to do with religion. Glad to see that it seems I have got you all foxed.

Beccles & Hayes both wrong. To narrow it down further the station is not in the north or east of England.

That recently-born creature in the fields is destined to be a pet for the Lancashire farmer's wife.
