If the station is not "... something ... Bridge", I'm lost indeed. Have worked my way through the entire alphabetical list of National Rail stations; and remain totally "at sea". Just to offer something -- got to be wrong, see nothing remotely grounds-related -- how about Hawarden [pronounced approximately like "harden"] Bridge? They're very fond of cards, thus prone to temptation -- so they "harden" their hearts vis-a-vis their expectant fans, skive off the football match, and play bridge instead  .

Alas, I basically "don't know from" football grounds. We need a participant who is more into "the beautiful game" than I am -- i.e. pretty well any other human male on the planet :s.

Stamford is correct, well done. For the sake of m'lud, Stamford Bridge is the home ground of the association football team Chelsea.

Interesting about the spoil heap terraces.
