Awaiting information on new services:
W7 - D&G - Winsford Circular via Glebe Green, Over and Mount Pleasant
I know in the Northwich Guardian it says that D&G are running the 7's but I haven't seen anything official that D&G are running them, nothing on their website or the council website. Lets just say it is D&G though, it'll be interesting to see the timetable. I saw somewhere online that it will be ran from 9am-2:30pm every hour. Based off that, they'll probably run to a timetable like this:
0900 - 7
1000 - 7
1100- 7
Half an Hour lunch (They don't give drivers enough lunch breaks)
1230 -7
1330 -7
1430 -7

Yes, I'm referring to it as 7 as the number W7 sounds incompetent.

Numbering is a bit of a pain but then I suppose when tendering it makes it clear where it is?

In a shock - Stagecoach have won it!

D&G 12 Leighton Hospital-Crewe-Shavington has now been registered for a Variation - to include the Monday-Friday subsidised services:

Have Stagecoach got the W7 then off D&G?

Also it appears three buses from Centrebus have come across to D&G whether this is for the new services this is unclear.

Stagecoach have the W7 yes

And D&G will need more than 3 buses in their Crewe depot for the new routes. 31/37 requires 6 buses and Weaverham-Leftwich route 1 requires another bus. Macclesfield services will be from Adderley Park depot and will require 2 buses (1 each for routes 3 and 10)

That's one hell of a shock! Quite a big distance from their depot to Winsford for one tendered service (at least the 48 is a bit more in their zone...) I wonder perhaps they might sniff an opportunity or two in the next few months?

Unlikely - the W7 is subsidised and fits between their school runs from Tarporley High which isn't a million miles away. The W7 will only operate Monday-Friday between 0930-1400 so is a nice middle of the day addition which requires no additional drivers or buses

D&G will need 4 buses for Macclesfield services. 1 for the 3 Weston, 2 for the 10 Bollington and 1 for the 19/19A Prestbury/Whirley.

But as D&G already operate the 19, they will need an extra of 3.

Quite a drop from current service levels though - I just hope they get a good return out of it for Cheshire West and Chester council (CWAC).

Did it? The article I saw was a copy and paste of the Cheshire West press release. That didn't mention operators of the contracted routes but included links to the D&G Bus, Stagecoach and Warrington's Own Buses sites.

Plus we don't know who is taking on the school work from Arriva. That's unlikely to be D&G due to the need for double deckers.

They're listed as being at Crewe on buslists.uk but anyone can edit that. https://buslists.uk/fleet.php?ownerid=104

Bustimes doesn't have any of them tracking since yesterday morning. If they are permanent transfers presumably D&G will want to at least change the name on them soon.

Six E200’s either have transferred over, or are about to transfer over, from Centrebus Leicester - these are 504/5/6/30/1/2.

Plus YX16 ODG and YX16 ODJ have arrived (10.8m Enviros). These used to be used on Heathrow Airport services so just had 29 seats due to the luggage racks. I don't know if they still have their airport layout or not.

Does anyone know if the full 82 timetable has been operated yesterday (Wednesday) and today? Both days the 3rd bus has only tracked from the 16:15 John Deanes to Chester journey, with no earlier journeys tracking.
Yes it was running. 28 (T28 TYB) currently has a tracking error.

How strange - I thought D&G were going to leave Stagecoach to run the 84.

Normally D&G publish their timetables before it appears on VOSA so interesting they haven't. Service meant to start in 2 days time...I don't see that happening

X84 is an interesting number - perception that its faster than 84...could it mean skipping Willaston for instance

Can't even spell Crewe correctly on the form
The registration was submitted manually, so it could just as easily have been the Traffic Commissioners (TC) who made the typing error, rather than the operator - it has been known to happen (and the TC staff have been known to be occasionally sub-par at updating extraneous details such as service numbers when handling a combined registration, or terminal points if a route is lengthened/shortened).

Willaston is specifically mentioned as a via point on the registration in the link that you posted! Likewise, as a manual registration, there is no guarantee it wasn't physically received much earlier by the TC and just took a while to be processed on the system (the stated receipt date).

It could, possibly, even be a previous idea that was then scrapped when Stagecoach registered, and the manual cancellation is equally in the queue!

This is what Cheshire East Council has to say on the topic.

84 Crewe-Nantwich-Chester D & G buses, evening and Sunday service provided commercially. Does not serve Willaston 30 mins Crewe to Nantwich, evening/Sunday services hourly. First bus 06:28, Last bus 20:58.
(Quote is edited slightly to make it easier to read as it's in a table format on the page which doesn't easily copy and paste into the forum)

Given the first and last bus times, I think that Cheshire East have just copied and pasted some route information and hoped it fits and no one proof read or checked it.

Let's see if D&G information is correct, hopefully online soon

The Willaston bit wasn't in the link when I posted earlier (just said Crewe - Nantwich not even Bus Stations at that point) - the Cheshire East page above mentions the service Does not serve Willaston

I've just phoned D&G Phone: 01270 252970 and the lady on the phone said that D&G are running the shorts & Stageocach through to Chester - so it's very confusing what's going on.

Ah, apologies. Then again, I'm sure there wasn't anything on the Cheshire East page about D&G when I checked, but there was when Markymark posted his reply 6 minutes later!

Perhaps driver availability?

This all rather goes to show why sometimes, the keen desire to work out what's going on from the basic registration details can lead to more problems and confusion than if we just waited to be told what was going on!

I've been informed that services will indeed launch this Sunday and a timetable will be published on Monday (which is not helpful for customers)
