I am due to start working for DBS as a Rail Track Operative (Shunter) and was wondering if anyone has any information on this job role.

Thanks

You are about to start as a DBS RTO. After all the testing and interviews you need information on the job role? Seems strange Gary!

Thanks for your helpful reply.
I was thinking more of the day to day and shift pattern.

To be fair you did ask for information on the job role. But if its rostering your after, if its anything like GBRf you can start at any time and finish anytime up to 12 hours later and will probably be on a 35hr week. The rostering specifics are going to depend entirely on your location/depot but don't expect regular shifts pattens.
