60046 was at doncaster decoy on tops yesterday afternoon.
046 was taken off the train at Doncaster yesterday morning reportedly with low coolant. The plan was to get the problem resolved during the day and send it back on the return working (6Z57). I don't know whether that actually happened, but there was a delay departing Doncaster.

Highly likely, DCR social media yesterday said "Final testing will be completed this week", so sounds odds on you're right

it definitely came. Usual test run on the steel.

As a complete turnaround to the info available earlier 60055 is not back in service and was DIT with DBC 66086 from Southampton to Willesden as 6Z18 this afternoon, just to further complicate things the 56s are being shown as the locos on 6Z44 Willesden to Chaddesden but there's then an 0Z66 scheduled from Chaddesden to Toton TMD, so whether 6Z44 has both 56s, the 60 and the 66 or any variation thereof is anyones guess, the 56s scheduled Willesden - Angerstein - Rossington trips have not operated this evening

2208 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston is underway but no confirmation as yet whether 60046 or a DBC loco is in charge, strangely both 6Z56 and a 6Z17, which starts from Doncaster Down Decoy, are due to arrive at Boston at the same time, so perhaps 60046 is at Doncaster as mentioned before and is due to take over from there ***

Hopefully 60028 made it to Boston and back to Toton without needing to call on the services of the breakdown services .........

*** Updated info that 60046 was moved from Belmont Down Yard to Toton TMD on friday as part of 1207 0F54 comprising 66039, 66135, 60046 & 66056

I don't mind admitting I've no idea which loco is where after the last few days, as trainmania100 says 6Z44 with four locos worked from Willesden to Chaddesden yesterday evening followed by an 0Z66 Chaddesden to Toton TMD, presumably the 66 and 60

2208 6Z56 worked Kingmoor to Doncaster Down Decoy and then continued as 0505 6Z17 to Boston (confirmed elsewhere as 66167) and finally 1448 6Z60 to Chaddesden, there was also an 0312 (actual 0212) 6Z35 Doncaster DD to Rossington LP and 0400 (actual 0300) return reported

Scheduled for tomorrow is an 0833 0Z60 Chaddesden to Crewe Basford Hall SSM followed by an 1100 Crewe BH SSM to Doncaster Up Decoy and a 1605 Doncaster UD to Leicester LIP

60028 must have run without problems as it has now been moved into the HTLX pool alongside 046, 055 and the 56s

Almost as scheduled 0Z60 worked Chaddesden to Crewe, 6X60 Crewe to Doncaster and 0Z62 Doncaster to Chaddesden rather than Leicester, DBC 66167 is reported as the loco throughout

Chaddesden looks to be fairly busy tomorrow with schedules for two separate light engines from Toton TMD, a 6Z05 to Rossington and a 6Z22 to Long Marston

DBC 66167 operated the 0410 6Z05 Chaddesden to Rossington this morning with a 31 early arrival

Only one of the light engines ran with 60055 back in service on the 0015 0Z60 Toton TMD to Chaddesden, it then worked a late running 0956 6Z22 to Long Marston taking box wagons for storage, problems with dragging brakes on the wagons made it a 91 late arrival, it swapped the wagons for a Railvac as the late 1527 6X60 to Bescot Down Side and is returning to Toton TMD an hour late as 1906 0Z61

What exactly is the 'wembley hub' going to be?

It seems as though the answer will shortly be provided in Rail magazine, an article is to be published in the 15 January edition in which David Fletcher, Cappagh Group Director of Rail, will discuss the four railheads under development with the first, at Willesden F Sidings, due to open in 2020, "These sites will be designed to take a minimum of 26 wagons and the Class 60 was chosen to provide the haulage capacity to allow heavy trains to run. It is also important that we maximise the utilisation of the paths and the Class 60 is key to this" says Fletcher. It should be enlightening to read the full article in Rail which presumably will give more of an idea where the main work for DCR is intended to come from

Just one loco in post christmas action today, 60055 operated 0812 0Z60 Toton TMD to Rossington, 6Z05 Rossington to Chaddesden with a short rake of five box wagons and then 1508 0Z61 Chaddesden back to Toton TMD

Just the one loco in action once again, 60055* on 0810 0Z60 Toton TMD to Chaddesden to take the short box wagon set it brought from Rossington last friday as 1011 6Z05 Chaddesden to Willesden DCR Sdgs, so no maiden run yet for 60028 which is at Toton

Edit. *60055 took 60046 DIT from Toton to Chaddesden on 0Z60

A surprise out and about for 60028 today as it was being used for both engine testing and DBC route learning between Toton and East Midlands Gateway while 60055 worked 1550 6Z29 Willesden to Angerstein to form 2300 6Z43 Angerstein to Rossington

Seems as though there was a rather large mess up last night with 6Z43 being cancelled at Ferme Park, it appears that Network Rail may have forgotten that they closed the line between Hitchin and Peterborough for a possession ....... 6Z43 has been rescheduled for tomorrow as 1405 Ferme Park to Rossington via WCML and MML, other scheduled moves for tomorrow are a 1228 Toton to Chaddesden light engine, presumably 60028 being released as 60046 is already there, and a 1440 Chaddesden to Kingmoor

1228 0Z55 was cancelled this morning so 60028 remains at Toton for now, 60046 worked 1440 6Z55 to Kingmoor and 60055 made it to Rossington with 1405 6Z43 without further drama, a 2210 0Z60 Rossington to Chesterfield Down Sidings is scheduled to run but with 6Z43 not arriving until its booked 2152 no movement has taken place as yet

60055 wasn't required for the Chesterfield movement last night which appears to have been a self propelled track machine to Leagrave and is now scheduled for a return trip from Rossington to Doncaster Roberts Road tomorrow and then on to Neath Abbey Wharf, 60046 is on an earlier than usual 2108 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston tonight

60046 arrived early into Boston this morning with 6Z56 and was early again back at Kingmoor this evening with 1350 6Z57

60055 was also an early arrival this evening at Neath Abbey Wharf with 1126 6Z40 from Rossington

A DCR operated 1511 Humberstone Road to Kingmoor is scheduled for tomorrow, presumably the 56s which have been at Leicester LIP for a week or so and also a 1000 0Z50 Leicester LIP to Bescot Down Side followed by a 1310 Bescot DS to Leicester LIP return likely to be 50008 which is also at Leicester along with 20118 & 20132

60046 is on 2208 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston this evening, the scheduled 6Z22 1511 Humberstone Road to Kingmoor was cancelled as a result of the cancellation of the balancing Kingmoor to Humberstone 6Z21 from last night

50008 worked 1000 0Z50 Leicester LIP to Bescot Down Side and returned with a Railvac on 1310 6X50

60055 is scheduled on 1708 Neath Abbey Wharf to Rossington tomorrow

60046 completed another round trip with an early arrival 6Z56 to Boston this morning and 1350 6Z57 return to Kingmoor this evening

60055 is currently on 1708 6Z41 Neath Abbey Wharf to Chaddesden, rather than the originally scheduled Rossington, via ECML

60046 is on the last 2208 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston of the week tonight, it's then scheduled Boston to Chaddesden tomorrow

60055 arrived back at Chaddesden this morning with 6Z41 from Neath and then went as 1225 0Z60 to Acton, it should return to Chaddesden tomorrow afternoon

Reported that 60055 failed again this morning working 6Z26 rescued by 66102.

6Z26 managed to made it back to Chaddesden almost on time, strangely neither RTT or Rail Record are showing any light engine moves from Chaddesden for either today or tomorrow, seems odd if both 66102 and 60055 are staying there along with 60046, which made it back without drama from Boston on 6Z58, especially as one of them is scheduled back to Kingmoor tomorrow afternoon

Maybe 60028 may make an appearance now then.

I was wondering that, but looking through RTT and Rail Record, which I know could be changed at any time, there are no Chaddesden, Willesden or Angerstein moves showing for this week at the moment, leaving 60028, 56091 & 56103 rather under employed

Quiet week for them then any news on what happened to 60055.

Quiet week for them then any news on what happened to 60055.

There doesn't ever seem to be any news on the reasons for the failures, one was supposed to be a faulty water pump and one TPWS, hopefully they've just been teething problems, not surprising considering the work that's been done on them at Toton I guess

Just 60046 working yesterday with a problem free 2208 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston

As reported elsewhere on the forum, 60029 was out on engine test today along with DBC 60074 as 1100 0Z60 Toton - Loughborough - Toton, there are half a dozen pics on flickr of the pair

60046 returned the empties this evening on 1350 6Z57 Boston to Kingmoor

And, not surprisingly, the article tells us next to nothing, it's really only informative to those that are virtually unaware of Cappagh/DCR, oh well it should be fun trying to work out where the other three hubs are going to be
