Hello,
I need some help regarding claiming delay repay that involves an excess fare ticket.
I originally hold a super offpeak return ticket and then paid an excess fare to change the route of the return portion (not outbound portion) of the ticket.
Unfortunately, my return journey was delayed by 1h, and I am submitting a delay repay claim. Now I have two CCST ticket vouchers for this journey:
1. the return portion of the original ticket.
2. the excess fare, which has a mark “return” on it. The face value is half the fare difference between the two routes.
My assumption is that I should receive 50% of the fare for the face value of ticket 1 and 100% for that of ticket 2, because the excess fare is specifically only for the return portion. However, can anyone help confirm that?
Also, how should I choose the excess fare’s ticket type on the delay repay website? Should I choose “single” or “return”?
Thanks
