I have a query about delay repay.

On 18 July I intented to take the following journey:
06:23 Sankey-Warrington
06:45 Warrington-Huddersfield
07:50 Huddersfield-Halifax

The 06:45 from Warrington to Huddersfield was cancelled. Station staff said there was a train from Bank Quay at 07:09 so I went for that. I caught a train to Huddersfield from Manchester but was too late for the connection to Halifax. I ended up on the 08:50 instead of the 07:50 Huddersfield to Halifax.

Recent Train Times showed the 06:45 had actually gone direct from Liverpool to Manchester.

Would I have been able to claim delay repay? Does delay repay still apply if a train was cancelled and you take an alternative route?

Welcome to the forum. Absolutely yes, Delay Repay applies; what matters is your journey.

Make sure you send it off using this form https://www.tpexpress.co.uk/contact-us/delay-repay-compensation/ today!

Thanks!

I tried that link, filled out the form, clicked "next" and got:

"Oops!

We're sorry but there was a problem with the page you requested"

I thought it might be a problem on Saturday but it's still doing it. Looked like I'll have to use a paper form.:(
