Depots in the South West

Evening all,

This might be a bit of a shot in the dark but someone may know.

We're looking at moving out of London in the next couple of years but i was wondering where the main depots are in the south west. I'm going to assume that there's one in Bristol (parkway?), Exeter and Plymouth (maybe). Does anyone have any other ideas? It'll just help with any potential house move,

Are you after traincrew depots or train maintenance depots?

Freightliner Depot at Bristol Parkway (Stoke Gifford).

LNWR Depot (used by CrossCountry) at Bristol Barton Hill, alongside facilities used by steam and diesel railtours.

DB Schenker at Westbury.

Currently a major new depot is being built by Hitachi Rail Europe at Stoke Gifford near Bristol Parkway to service and maintain the IEP Class 800 and 801 fleet. Due to open in 2016.

I think (well know) that by reading the opening post that the OP is asking about passenger traincrew depots not maintenance depots! :roll:

Long rock (Penzance)
Par Crew Depot
Exeter TMD

FGW WEST (units) at Penzance, Par, Exeter, Westbury and Bristol Temple Meads.
FGW HSS (HSTs and units) at Penzance, Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol Temple Meads.
Cross Country at Plymouth and Bristol Temple Meads.

FGW West are taking on loads of drivers at the moment.
Cross Country at Plymouth is a very small depot so I wouldnt rely on that one.
