I and the master I visiting didcot again , but on a weekday for more freight and for Valenta Bashing.

Can anyone help on tickets please?

Farnbourgh North - Didcot and then Didcot - London Paddington .

2 adults , 2 children , return from farnbourgh to didcot , then return to reading from didcot to paddington!.

BTW - you're very unlikely to get a Valenta on those - by half term there will be approximately 10 Valenta's left on FGW.

Well, there's only 1 - 2 HSTs per hour to Didcot, these usually are the Bristol services. Highly unlikely you'll get a Valenta, and very likely you'll get an HD-HST.

If, as you say you are travelling Farnborough North-Reading-Didcot-Reading-London Paddington-Reading-Farnborough North, then any combination via Reading will suffice ie.
1) Farnborough-Didcot & Reading-Paddington or
2) Farnborough-Paddington & Reading-Didcot.

I think the second combination is slightly cheaper when I checked.

If you want to go with Group Save, (that's four people travel for the price of two), you add the two adult prices together, (so you've got the price for both tickets), and times it by two, (so it's for the two paying adults). That comes to £43.60.


You can also go down the road of buying a Family Railcard - that costs £20.
