Hello, this is my first visit, so apologies if the question has been asked before, but I was wondering if there was a digital (ideally online) version of the spotters guides, I have searched everywhere but cannot find anything. It is frustrating that the paper guides are out of date immediately. Any advice would be gratefully accepted - many thanks

There's nothing on-line that I would call a "companion" but http://www.abrail.co.uk and http://www.thejunction.org.uk/ offer some pretty comprehensive fleet lists. Unfortunately both sites are often several weeks out of date at times but updates are fairly frequent.

For locomotive data, http://www.wnxx.com/ provides transfer and withdrawal information and there are some good files available in the download section.

All three sites have a list of web links, you might also find something useful there. Hope that helps.
