My disabled rail card is due for renewal however as I am now over sixty should I purchase a senior rail card. Although I qualify for a disabled card I do not require any assistance whilst travelling.

Anyone who is entitled to a Disabled Railcard is advised to obtain one, over any other Railcard, as they offer more generous terms.

For example, East Coast guards will sell the appropriate, discounted, fare to any Disabled Railcard holder who is not already in possession of a valid ticket.

You cannot use a Senior Railcard before off-peak fares become available (or, 0930, whichever is the earlier) for tickets issued for travel wholly within the Network Railcard area.

I'd stick with the DSB - I'm fairly sure there's no conditions better on the Senior card than the Disabled one :)

Agree, plus don't forget the DSB allows the discount for anyone travelling with the holder as well.
