Hi this is my first post. I searched the forums yesterday for advice on obtaining this rail card as I could not find my little brown hearing aid battery book (c1985) nor do i have access to a social worker, and not on benefits. i found one thread which was a bit helpful but didnt really help me.

Nothing ventured, I used my card showing my sensory registration through my local council, I wasn't sure they would accept it, hand written, a bit battered, but they did. But I had a plan B... if this didnt work. I'd contacted Specsavers, my NHS aid suppliers ( very good btw).

The reply to my email had a copy of my audiogram and details of my prescribed hearing aids, dispensers name etc, which I am sure would have done the trick. So, if anyone out there gets their hearing aids from Specsavers on NHS, you can request this. Hope this helps.

I also went to Specsavers for my hearing aid. Got a letter with details for Railcard. Got the railcard within a week of application

For info, I uploaded both sides of the prepaid postcard I was supplied for replacement batteries - the modern version of a battery book - and now have my very own Disabled Persons Railcard.
