Playing around with NRE, it will offer a Gold Card-discounted Thames Branch Day Ranger for £11.55, but none of the ticketing sites clicked through to will sell it. (But as you get the same result attempting to buy the regular, undiscounted, ranger that probably doesn't mean much).

I think it's a mistake on NRE - it also claims the 3 day Thames Rover (OK not exactly the same area - but nearly) is eligible for Network Railcard discount but not Gold Card discount. I've bought one with a Gold Card discount at the station before without difficulty.

In fact I'm reasonably sure I bought a Thames Branch Day Ranger with a Gold Card discount last year, too - and not from a FGW station, too; so clearly the ticketing machines are programmed correctly, even if NRE shows incorrect info.
