Anyone suggest the best option for early warning notification of disruption anywhere on UK rail network?

Once a known incident has begun to cause significant disruption is there a means of receiving notification on a mobile phone as soon as information about the disruption reaches the public domain?

The National Rail app/website, as that will show the route message that the train companies put out in disruption

I don't think TOC Twitter or websites actually give enough information when you are already aware of an incident
There's also ticket acceptance - a lot of TOCs might organise ticket acceptance along a line of route with bus companies, but don't consider someone might use a station as a railhead and get to somewhere from there. Bus acceptance should always be within an area rather than routes that parallel the railway
