Hi guys,
I have my dmi tommorow & am pretty nervous, Any tips & hints people can offer would be appreciated?
Also wanted to see when asked the competency questions in the interview are they looking for star method to be used? Or just an answer with brief explanation?
Thanks Em

Em, I tried to use the STAR method on my DMI as much as I could because I think it structures the answer better, but to be honest I think that's more vital with the MMI. They'll probably start with the, 'What do you know about our TOC?' then 'Why do you want to be a driver?' questions before asking 6 specific 'Can you give us an example of.... ?' type questions. I can't remember exactly what these were but some were similar to your MMI questions with a few others dotted in. They'll make you feel quite relaxed and you can think about answers to questions and go back to them if you wish. Good luck!!

Yes I think I will too then.
I'm glad you say they make you feel relaxed, hopefully that will help!
That's good to know, I've thought about as many questions they could ask so hopefully I should be fine! Fingers crossed & thankyou!

Good luck Em.

When did you have your assessment? Had mine end of March and heard nothing yet. ....just phoned and advised nothing on new interviews until end of summer, to phone back in july/august. The waiting is the hardest part eh!

....and relax and enjoy tomorrow. Look forward to hearing how well it went for you.

I had my assessment on 9th march. I presume you passed the assessment day, I must have just passed at the right time. Although what toc have you applied for? Yes it's awful, luckily they haven't kept me waiting that long, so July/august is hard. Def keep on at them though.
Thanks, like you say I need to relax and enjoy!

Brilliant, that's great news!
Funny you say That...about 6 weeks ago I put a post up asking how long people have to wait to book their dmi as had been waiting 2 weeks & later on in the day I received an email to book it!

How did it go?

It's hard to tell, I feel it went well in the sense I kept calm & had an answer for everything they asked etc. But it's hard to tell if I answered the questions well enough! Time will tell! But I'm happy as this is just great experience! Thanks for asking :)
