The 1600 Liverpool Lime Street to Earlestown had 150117 and 150134 today.

Maybe when it is all 323s and 331s this nonsense of DMUs under the wires all day, every day will stop.

At least (unusually) the replacement for the 319 is a double Sprinter, which, from a capacity viewpoint, is a fair substitute.

I was surprised to find the above 150s turning up on last night's 2230 Liverpool - Manchester Airport (via Chat Moss). Assuming they've followed the normal progression (which they seemed to have done) they will have stabled at the Airport overnight, worked the first Chat Moss stopper this morning, done a Blackpool, 3 x Wigan, the Earlestown, and 1925 Manchester Victoria. After getting back from Victoria they should have done 1945 Wigan before heading for Allerton, but despite having got back from Manchester in time to do the Wigan, it has instead gone very late (2002) with what looks like a 319, so there must have been some reason for the changeover.
