Hi All - I need to go to Nottingham and back from Doncaster on 9th Feb. I'm looking at going via Grantham and am being offered an Anytime Short Distance (Return Included) ticket.

Is this ticket also valid via Sheffield in case of any disruption please, the info on the ticket just says "Travel is allowed via any Permitted Route".

Thanks

Routeing map NB shows that travelling via Sheffield is valid. Just don't travel via Derby!

Travel is permitted via Sheffield.

The permitted routes are:
  • via Retford then:
    • via Newark (either direct via the ECML, or via Saxilby and Lincoln), or
    • via Worksop and Mansfield
  • via Gainsborough Lea Road to Lincoln (avoiding Retford) and then via Newark
  • via Sheffield, Chesterfield and Alfreton (travel via Derby is, somewhat unreasonably IMHO, not permitted)
  • via the ECML (either direct or via Lincoln) to Grantham and then direct
  • via Lincoln (either direct or via Retford and/or Newark) to Sleaford then:
    • via Grantham and direct
    • direct (avoiding Grantham on the 'third side of the triangle')
