https://eastcoastbuses.co.uk/new-bus-services-at-east-coast-buses/

We are delighted to announce the introduction of two new routes to our operations on 23 April boosting county links and connections to Edinburgh in response to feedback from you, our customers.

Service X5, will be a new express route from North Berwick, operating Monday to Friday to the West End of Edinburgh.

Service 106 will create a direct link connecting Musselburgh, Haddington and Dunbar.

Mark Heritage, General Manager, East Coast Buses said:

When we stepped in to take over these services last year our expectations were very modest. As a socially responsible operator, we knew that we would be protecting lifeline connections for residents and commuters. Since then, though, we’ve been absolutely delighted with the positive response from the local community of East Lothian. Thanks to our exceptional team we’re now in a position to introduce even better services for the East Lothian community.

We will also be making changes to existing services which will include:

* A new link in Dunbar between the High Street and Asda on Service 107.
Service 113 extended to West Granton to provide new connections to Edinburgh College campuses.
Nighthawk routes will will operate return journeys from Dunbar and North Berwick.
* Service 124 Sunday daytime frequency doubled from hourly to every 30 minutes until end of September.
* Along with these changes, Lothian Country Buses services 104 and 113 will join us from this date. This means Lothian Country Buses Single Tickets, Day * Tickets and Fares Zones will be replaced by East Coast Buses Tickets & Fares Zones. Lothian Country Buses Ridacards for Zones C&D will continue to be valid for travel.

These changes will help create eleven new jobs and we plan to make further investments in our fleet and ticketing later in 2017.

X5 is peak times, It would like look X24/124 will now be the only replacement for the withdrawn X15 around Meadowmill, it should be the same amount of time.

I reckon that neither ex-First base at Musselburgh and North Berwick are heavily used by Lothian Buses' subsidiaries as yet.

I would keep an eye out on those 44, it seems that space is become tight in the three main depots.

On top of that more fare changing:

https://eastcoastbuses.co.uk/timetables-and-fares-from-23-april-2017/

Lothian Country Buses services 104 & 113 will join the East Coast Buses family from Sunday 23 April expanding our East Lothian Network.

From this date, all Lothian Country Buses Single Fares, Day Tickets and Fare Zones will be withdrawn with Lothian Country Buses Ridacards for zones C & D continuing to be valid for travel in our zones C & D.

The withdrawal of Lothian Country Buses Fare Zones will see some new local fares in East Lothian, however we will be amending some of our tickets to ensure that all our services continue to provide great value for money.

Changes to tickets include:
Our countyPLUS Day Ticket will now be valid on Lothian Buses day services and Edinburgh Trams (except Airport) Our go anywhere, anytime Network Day Ticket will still be valid in all zones for East Coast Buses, Lothian Buses, Airlink and Edinburgh Trams but also the following mornings NightHawk, NightBus and Airlink until 0430, replacing our current NightHawk return ticket which will be withdrawn. Our Best Value tickets are still available to download on the TfEapp.com. These include a pack of 28 Adult county Day Tickets for £98 (travel for only £3.50 per day) and a pack of 28 Adult countyPLUS Day Tickets for £154 (travel for only £5.50 per day).
