Edgware Road problems this weekend.

Well that was fun yesterday, a points and now seemingly a signal failure at Edgware Road is a nightmare to negotiate with Bank Holiday tourists and people enjoying the long weekend. Circle was suspended and no direct Wimbleware services either.

Any idea what is going on there exactly as it seems the issue still isn’t resolved today.

District Line: No service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road / Kensington (Olympia) due to signal failure at Edgware Road.
Circle Line: Severe delays due to signal failure at Edgware Road. Tickets are valid on London Buses.
Hammersmith and City Line: Severe delays due to signal failure at Edgware Road. Tickets are valid on London Buses.

18.40 yesterday: was suspected to be axle counter block, no routes available for pfms. 2&3, due to be changed in engineering hours, fix seems not to have worked.

For a time at least, in the morning, they did serve Olympia be sending some of the Upminsters there, since the normal High St Ken - Olympia couldn't run (though I'm not sure why it couldn't, if the problem was up at Edgware Rd?).

If Edgware Rd - Wimbledon wasn't an option, couldn't they still have run some of those from High St?
