Hello all,

Now the winter season is here, and my hobby schedule is getting quiet, I've had time to work on a few set's of photo's from 2015 I never got round to uploading!

I thought I'd share my visit to Edinburgh Airport for number crunching/photo's on the 15th September. It was my first visit, as it looked good with some variety than just EasyJet, Ryanair and Flybe. It was also the final few weeks for Virgin Little Red, and was probably the closest I've been so far to a 787!

The weather was a bit hit and miss, with some fog in the morning, with some clear spot's later on in the day.

On the final few weeks of it's operations with Virgin Little Red, EI-DEI A320 takes off from Edinburgh flight VIR3002 09:10 to Heathrow.

The A320 is leased from Aer Lingus who also supply the crew. EI-DEI is now based back at Dublin and wears the Aer Lingus rugby special scheme

Thanks for uploading pics from my local airport, there's a great variety of activity at Edinburgh!

Almost shed a tear seeing Little Red again - what a brilliant little airline, and a huge loss for Edinburgh (and Aberdeen - they were invariably the cheapest ABZ-LON operator, even including easyJet!). I was on their last flight into EDI. (On EI-EZW, not pictured above). EI-DEI seemed to follow me around!

Great photos, particularly liked the Etihad A330 in the EXPO/Alitalia livery and the Vueling A321 (wouldn't have expected them to send one to Edinburgh!). :D

Amazing photos! Thanks. How do you take them, do you have a good zoom lense? I really liked the one of the American airlines flight taking off into the fog.

Just a bridge camera, a reasonable one, Fuji HS10 with a 30x (720mm) zoom
Only been doing this for a couple of years, never had a proper camera before!
