Tut, Tut, You didn't Credit the Person who wrote it.

Put "Ta Lawe" on your post

1497 & 1498 do not have OTMR fitted.
Hence anytime they are required at Wimbledon, they require to be
"hauled" and in this case Top 'n' Tailed to Chart.

I take it they have an exception when running on the mainline between Brockenhurst and Branksome? Also if/when someone gets the diagrams for the Bomo-Wimbo trip then I'd be interested in those :)

Thanks in advance,

We have a turn that is a 'Turning Trip' via Eastleigh - Fareham etc to turn the units to face the other direction (even wear maybe?)

We've now been told that they have to have an ED on the front for this trip which means not many drivers can do it - myself included because I don't sign ED's.

Some Clockwork Snail or Rail Safety Board requirement although we can still bomb back to the depot at 90mph from Brockenhurst - strange innit'?

Thought I was seeing a slammer in Chalk tunnel last at Guildford - as it got closer it was 2 ED's with GB in the headcode box.

The turning trip is to even out the flange wear so its even on both sides. It happens every few weeks apparently. It just seems strange that although these units do work the mainline they are not fitted with OTMR equipment!!

Strange.

I bet it feels nice doing 90 in a slammer on the main...oh those were the days bouncing around the coach... I loved them and miss em.

Going for a C4 exam. Not sure what that is - might be refurbished bogies etc.

Passed the Depot today, good view from the roadside. 73 infront of 3417 and a 455 stationed alongside. Shame I had no camera :(
