EMR class 156s for Northern

Gone to Millenium Services which has a workshop about a mile away. Seem to specialise in bodywork repairs, quite a few rail vehicles heading there at present.

Only 150003 to 150006 are moving, last I heard internally, with 1 and 2 staying at Newton Heath.

In regards to the 150/0s 150002 was over in Huddersfield recently so it would seem the two specials are likely going too, or the potential is being made for them to go.

The unit diagrams for December 2022 have all 6 of the 3 car 150/0s allocated to Neville Hill and all jobs for them on the east.

It looks like 1 x 150/2 goes from East to West.

Moving all six over does make more sense, even though the two "real" 3-car units are a little bit non-standard. I did notice that this Sunday there was a 2-car 195 working the Penistone line, which I didn't think would happen this early.

The more 156s by December the better, the new timetable sees some big service uplifts, those units are desperately needed to maintain capacity on services. Fingers crossed the 170s make it to EMR in time!

As the Angel sets have no future lease agreed (that is known), then the lease could probably be extended if required.

Depending on the time quite possibly! 419 I think ended up there as well but not until late afternoon after it suffered an engine failure at Attenborough that resulted in it being removed from service.

Been swapped to a Derby finish tonight so I assume that will be it. Going on 2036 Nottingham to Sheffield, and 2156 Sheffield to Derby having had a day of class 1 mileage on Norwich/Liverpool to see off it's career at EMR.

Looks like the the services 156422 was assigned to have been cancelled. That could cause some problems. Looks like it might be running back to Etches Park as 5Z81.

Paths in place for 156414/422 to be moved to Northern.
Apparently the plan is 414/422 go to Crewe together, drop off 414 before 422 carries onto NH.
