Thank you both. I was able to see 50049 and 50007 (as its 50014 alter ego) on their last trip of the day.

GA seem to be releasing the 360s at a fast pace - when are all the units expected to be with EMR?

Tbh depends on if it’s their first time seeing a 360/1, if it is I don’t blame them for thinking that...

Tbh it’s understandable because right now there’s no consistency with EMRs fleet at all

Very true! 43’s in red, blue.. the 222’s in purple, white/red, it’s a huge variety!

There’s no excuse why they can’t atleast refurb the majority of these 360s before sending them into passenger service. With everything pushed back until May 2021 the majority of them could easily be repainted.

Give them half a chance at least, given that they've only just got their hands on them.

There is a 360 out of Northampton tonight and one in Tomorrow morning, will tomorrow be the last unit to come in?

117 leaving Northampton, 101 heading there in order to be the last unit for 110mph, it took a lot less time than I originally thought.

Not that I can see yet, but some might appear on RTT at a time closer in early December.

However I have seen this for next Thursday which could be of any interest to someone out there?

It is down as a diesel multiple unit which makes me think it won’t be a 360, however these new electric sidings are only for the 360s which means it could potentially be. Will just have to wait and see.

It's also timed for 125mph, which tells me it's not a 360, as a 360 can only do 110Mph max.

I'll be seeing 117 tonight, might see 101 tomorrow if I'm up early enough.

I must also say, they have had the mods done quickly.

1st one in on June 7th 2020 and last one scheduled out for Friday 27th Nov.

To anyone interested, that equates to - 5 months, 2 weeks, 6 days or 173 days! :D

It is scheduled to be on the slows all the way so it won't be doing 125. Personally I think it will be a 360 so training can start at Kettering as well as Cricklewood. Maybe 3 units at each location eventually?

GA are going to feel the squeze of not having the 360's that 6 gone already! When are the next ones coming across or is that not known yet?

I think they have more than enough 321/2s to cover the shortfall - also seen 317s working some peak time Colchester/Witham to Liverpool Street workings.

Fair enough, what is a 321/2? Is that a new subclass! I presume you mean 321/3s!;)

move tonight, bound for crickewood soon?

This specific unit may not go straight to Cricklewood as it could be any one out the remaining bunch, however the number for this 5Q60 2030 move will be 360117.

Nope, was on about the 322s! The 321/9s and 322s were leased from Northern to allow some 360s to be released. Whether it’ll be enough for all 21 I’m not sure.

GA have got ex-NT 321/9 + 322 = 8 units and I believe they are getting 8 317/7s too which equals 16 units.

So, EMR should be able to get a couple more 360s without causing too many issues.

Hopefully - only downside is the 317/7’s will be used for the West Anglia routes but I’ll guess we’ll see how this impacts the 360 cascade.

Is the EMR 360 cascade one of those where it has a completion date set in stone? Like when LO had to give the 172/0s to WMR as 710s weren't ready and LO had to use short 378s as a substitute?

or is the completion date flexible, so GA don't run the risk of short forms?

I think it is flexible but not too sure - I’m guessing it’s all dependent on the 720s entering service. I can imagine leases on the 360s with GA don’t have long left though, not to mention I don’t see as many 360s out as I used to (transfers to EMR aside).
