It ran on Wednesdays only as the 10:44 St Pancras to Melton Mowbray. Unsure what time the return trip was. There was also at one point in the recent past something around lunchtime down from London with a gap that then returned south. It did a shunt at Syston.
Does anybody know the current limited EMR routings to/from these stations?
Am I right in thinking there used to be one run a day to/from London St Pancras?
Thanks, I recall the Wednesday thing although wasn't that an ECS trip to keep the Manton route knowledge? I'm sure in one of the fairly recent timetables it was Mon-Fri and in service. It ran on Wednesdays only as the 10:44 St Pancras to Melton Mowbray. Unsure what time the return trip was.
Post pandemic it was the 09:45 Monday to Friday, calling at all stations with the 360 following ECS to Corby! The same happened on return at *roughly* 14:00, and both trips were withdrawn in May 2022It ran on Wednesdays only as the 10:44 St Pancras to Melton Mowbray. Unsure what time the return trip was.
That sounds about right - I know the Wednesday trip post covid didn't last particularly long (I did it in Sept '21).Post pandemic it was the 09:45 Monday to Friday, calling at all stations with the 360 following ECS to Corby! How did they get to Derby for a break?Yes, that was a useful diagram as it “refreshed” Manton route knowledge for London drivers who worked out and back with a break at Derby. It was withdrawn AIUI because the stock was needed elsewhere, and it was a pretty inefficient use of a Meridian.

Aah, not the one I'm thinking of then, this one did a shunt to Syston station after terminating at Melton and then returned to Melton for the return journey. It terminated at Melton and continued ECS to Derby, with the unit being taken onto Etches Park. Then another (often the same) unit was brought back out to do the same in reverse.
An enjoyable day out!
