Does anyone know what the usual proceedure is for the turnaround of Robin Hood Line trains at Worksop Station?

My understanding was that they arrive and depart from Platform 2, simply changing ends.
Or arrive on Platform 2, then proceed over the crossing and then use the crossover by the box to move into Platform 1.

Yesterday I was waiting for the 17.46 Worksop to Nottingham and it rolled into Platform 1 from the Retford direction but hadn't used the crossover and didn't come out of the loop.
So how far would it have gone towards Retford to cross over? Isn't the crossover by the gate box used any more?

They normally just change ends and go over the crossover in the Nottingham bound direction.

Three a day are generally booked to reverse at Manton Wood, the majority of daytime services will reverse in Platform 2, and quite a lot of early and late services will shunt across to Platform 1. Generally it all depends on the aspect of the signal at the end of P2, if its red, reverse in the platform, yellow, shunt to P1, green, go via Manton Wood!

The 17:46 is booked to Manton as is the 1946 it allows two northern trains to pass. if either is running late then Manton wont be used. A lot of drivers dont sign Manton and that can impact on whether it goes or not. It can add 15 minutes to a conventional service so if the incoming service is late it wont go

Some of them are booked for route knowledge, and I've arrived at Worksop 2mins before departure and the unit still reversed at Manton Wood.

The 22:06 arrival from Nottingham is also booked to go to Manton Wood siding to clear the main lines.

Just asked the Mem...her service this morning terminated at P2 and returned from that platform for Nottingham.
