Has anybody undertaken the SCATT test with East Midlands Trains . If so is it numbers , shapes or the Group Bourdon Test.
Further has anyone done the Trainability for Safety test as I understand this is a new test and only came out last year the only example I can find online is on the OPCC sight with just one passage saying have to memorise it and then answer 30 multiple choice questions.

Any help would be much appreciated tried searching the forum for any threads without success.

thank you

SCAAT is shapes, and done on paper. I have no idea what the TFST is, never done it before, but I assume it's similar to the Trainability for Rules and Procedures test they use for drivers. The example questions would certainly suggest so.

I don't think EMT use either of the tests in the OP in the depot driver assessment so sifting through 20-odd pages of posts is probably unhelpful.

Just to assist anyone what the Trainability For Safety Test consists of is a series of passages mainly concerning transport industry scenarios. Given a certain amount of time to read each passage have to memorise it then answer multiple choice questions on it . The test comprises of about 30 questions .

TRFS is based around a fictional travel company (fast travel ltd). You read the four paragraphs (they're about 15 lines long-ish each). You then remember as much as you can in the 10 minutes provided. After you answer 30 questions (all multiple choice). I would strongly advise making notes of the key points and reading through the notes you have made as unfortunately time isn't on your side for this and the paragraphs are quite lengthy!

Thank you for that I have the TRFS test and SCATT with EMT in Derby on Monday. State if you don't pass the TRFS will not go onto the SCATT. If both pass assessment on 23/2/18.

When taking the test you say you can make notes, but are you allowed to use the notes when answering the question?

Is the test really hard, I did the example one, i then bought one from on line, is this similar to the real test please

It isn't that bad. Just make very good notes (or do what you do to remember the information), and try not to get caught out with the answers that look similar to each other. :)
When I did the test last month, I got just one question wrong.

They were done pretty quickly when I went for Train Manager. In and out within an hour and a half at most. They need to give everyone time to arrive, settle down and be ready first though so it depends on your group! They want everyone to be comfortable after all.

I feel that I let myself down that test was hard just feel you don't get enough time to read it all and memorise it
