Epping Ongar Railway is pleased to announce it is holding its first Spring Diesel Gala on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April

The Bar will be open on the train all day serving snacks and a variety of locally sourced bottled real ales. The popular evening trains will once again run on Saturday night.

Will arrive by road as
A. EOR is not connected to the LUL network
B. If it was, 20227 would be out of gauge for most of the Central Line!!

Definitely by road!

Whilst the track itself has been reconnected, like Galvanize has said 20227 would be way out of gauge for the Central line. Whilst from Leyton it is above ground and on the old GER route, since LT took over the line from Leyton there have been various new structures like overhead cable runs and new bridges which have been built to tube gauge.

Other than that the only obstacles are some of those LU red lamps, a fence and a pile of sleepers!

Taking a well earned rest, work should be started when Pitchford Hall comes back from it's overhaul

A good weekend was had, shame the weather wasn't brilliant, but not bad. 20048 visiting from the Midland Railway - Butterley was well suited to the line.

Generally good time keeping when I was there on the Sunday, though I thought it could have been busier.
